LANGUAGE IN TIMES OF CRISIS: JULY 4th, 7-8:30pm, Behind the Library.
For the 4th, ShoutOut hosts a celebration of fiery language, words written by our forebears and contemporaries who valued truth and compassion. We will hear short excerpts from Barbara Jordan, Robert F. Kennedy, Chief Seattle, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Emma González, Ann Richards, Frederick Douglass and others read by committed community members. Open mic for 2 minutes of audience favorites.
Seating is limited. To reserve a spot, go to EventBrite, bring a blanket or chair, and your favorite beverage, and come to the Green behind the library before 7pm, where you'll be safely seated. Wear a mask, of course.
